Catherine is a seasoned and strategic employment litigator with over a decade of experience dedicated exclusively to the representation of employers. Catherine practices in both California and Colorado, representing employers at all stages of litigation, including through trial and arbitration. Catherine enjoys litigating on behalf of companies of all sizes and in every aspect of employment law, including wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, in addition to successfully handling misappropriation of trade secret cases.
Catherine has extensive knowledge of Colorado’s Artificial Intelligence Act (the “Colorado AI Act”), a groundbreaking law set to take effect on February 1, 2026, regulating private-sector use of high-risk AI systems in employment decisions.
Catherine also spent nearly three years as Assistant General Counsel, Labor & Employment for a global gaming company. This experience provided Catherine with first-hand insight into the unique needs and challenges faced by in-house counsel supporting employers with multi-jurisdictional workforces. Catherine relies on her litigation and in-house experience to regularly partner with employers to develop proactive strategies for human resources and management teams aimed at minimizing costly litigation and disputes. This work commonly includes employment policy design and review, training and counseling for management and human resources teams, and compliance audits.
Catherine also frequently conducts workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and whistleblower claims, including at the C-suite level.
Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, in 2007 from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 2012.
