Nana P. Boakye

Nana is an associate in the Atlanta office of Ogletree Deakins where she provides immigration advice to corporate clients across a range of industries. In this role, Nana primarily advises clients on immigration strategies and otherwise supports clients with applying for employment-based temporary visas and permanent residence in the United States.

Her practice is informed by her prior experience working at a law firm where she focused on immigration, human rights and asylum matters. She acquired extensive experience responding to complex Request for Evidence, preparing nonimmigrant visas, filing PERM labor certifications, applications for permanent residence, and citizenship.

Since 2016, Nana has reviewed citizenship forms pro bono at citizenship clinics hosted by Asian Americans Advancing Justice and regularly participates in the Saturday Lawyer program organized by Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation.

Nana is admitted to practice law in Georgia and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She is a graduate of University of Ghana in Ghana (B.A.). She obtained her law degree from Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom and a Master in Law (LL.M.) from Georgia State University – College of Law, Atlanta. Nana lived, studied, and worked in Ghana and the United Kingdom.
