Ruhul K. Ayazi

Ruhul Ayazi is Of Counsel and Head of the UK Immigration Practice at Ogletree Deakins. He combines deep technical expertise with a strategic, solutions-focused approach that makes him a trusted adviser to multinational companies and global brands.

Ruhul advises on the full spectrum of UK business immigration matters. He has significant experience with sponsor licence applications and work visas under the Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes, and is regularly called upon to guide companies through complex sponsorship compliance issues and Home Office audits. His practice also extends to right-to-work compliance, business visitor guidance, and other routes such as Global Talent, Youth Mobility and Temporary Worker. He has also played a key role in advising businesses and individuals on the EU Settlement Scheme, helping clients navigate the evolving post-Brexit immigration landscape.

Before focusing on immigration, Ruhul was a civil litigator, handling complex cases in the County and High Courts. He has extensive advocacy experience, having appeared before Judges and High Court Masters on a wide range of interim and final applications. This experience has sharpened his understanding of the commercial landscape for businesses and strengthened his ability to deliver practical solutions on complex immigration challenges.

Ruhul has been recognised as a Future Leader and Global Elite Thought Leader in Corporate Immigration by Who’s Who Legal (now Lexology Index). He has also been shortlisted twice as a finalist at the London Asian and Business Awards.
